January 26, 2012 -- The Wild Bird Centers of America (www.wildbird.com) is proud to announce the opening of its newest franchise retail store in Delta, BC (www.wildbird.com/delta) in the Vancouver metropolitan area. The company already supports a Wild Bird Center store in Langford, BC (www.wildbird.com/langford), near Victoria on Vancouver Island.
Owners Michael Raincock and Susan Mitchell located their store in Delta to take full advantage of outstanding wild bird feeding and watching opportunities and traditions along the Fraser River Delta and a strong interest in the bird feeding and watching hobby in Delta, Ladner and surrounding communities. For example, the Ladner Christmas Bird Count, held each December, recorded 140 species, one of the very top counts in all of Canada.
Michael, an experienced birder, recently retired as a Vice-President with UNIGLOBE Travel, a Canadian-based franchise company. Susan brings extensive retailing knowledge from her family business that operated three retail gift stores. Michael and Susan are "very excited and look forward to serving our birding customers and local communities for many years to come." Please visit or contact them at:
