Plano area residents and wild bird enthusiasts have a new place to migrate for all their wild bird supplies. Co-owners, Clarence Kelley and Mable Slezia, open their beautiful Wild Bird Center store (www.wildbird.com/plano), on November 5, 2015.
The store is conveniently located in the well-known “The Arbors” Shopping Center (near Tom Thumb) at 18208 Preston Rd. #D-6, Dallas, TX 75252 and can reached at (469) 573-5043. Store hours are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, Saturday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday.
The Wild Bird Center of Plano (www.wildbird.com/plano) is a unique retail business offering customers a wide range of nature-related products including premium quality bird seed, suet cakes, bird feeders, pole systems, baffles, houses, wind chimes, bird baths and a distinctive variety of nature gifts to appeal to customers who wish to be more connected with nature and their home environment.
The store’s goal is to guide customers to the best possible experiences from their bird-feeding hobby and nature-related activities. Over 50 million Americans consider backyard bird feeding to be their most relaxing, fulfilling and enjoyable hobby. Wild Bird Center stores prosper by specializing in the flourishing backyard birding market, providing expertise and knowledge to their customers and actively organizing community outreach nature programs.
Mr. Kelley and Ms. Slezia are long-time residents of the area with keen interests in the environment and wild birds. As nature and outdoors enthusiasts, Kelley and Slezia recently decided to expand their business interests into the bird-feeding and bird-watching market. Their investigations led them to the Wild Bird Centers of America (www.wildbird,com) with franchise headquarters in the Washington, DC area and retail locations across the country.
“We are thrilled to open a business which aligns our own passions and interests while enhancing the lifestyle of others in Plano and nearby north Dallas communities" states Kelley. "Our team at the Wild Bird Center of Plano looks forward to being your community resource and one-stop shop for those who love to feed and watch wild birds. In the near future, we will expand our offerings to include educational events, on-site and off-site workshops and bird walks".
"We are fortunate to attract beautiful backyard birds in our region of Texas, so our goal is to help people attract and enjoy these delightful creatures in every way possible", said Slezia. "We also are here to help people create and improve backyard bird and wildlife habitats to enhance our community and help our customers enjoy fully this unique and peaceful hobby. Our birdseed and exclusive seed blends are field-tested and proven to attract the widest variety of colorful birds," states Kelley. "By combining our premium products with solid knowledge, we offer our customers unparalleled service and the help they need to experience backyard bird feeding as never before. We are very excited about this opportunity to serve our local community for many years to come."
