Mark and Ginny Lutes welcome you to the Wild Bird Center of Chesapeake, "Your Ultimate Backyard Nature Shop". We offer a complete line of nature related products that will especially help you enjoy wild birds and foster a healthy backyard habitat.
Our birdseed and exclusive seed blends (including seeds that will not sprout) are field-tested and proven to attract to your back yard a variety of wild birds. We offer an extensive selection of backyard bird feeders, birdbaths, nest boxes to help you attract the birds to your yard. Not sure what feeders or boxes to get? Don't worry, we will help you with that.
Our extensive selection of binoculars and spotting scopes can help you see songbirds in great detail at the bird feeder, or on one of our bird walks (see store event page.)
Trouble identifying a bird, use the What Bird? link to search for that illusive bird you saw. You can use the description filters to whittle down your suspect list. you may also use the short list to help identify the bird or feel free to stop by with a photo or description and we will help you. There are many field guides in our store that you may want to purchase to help indentify birds.
Join the Wild Bird Center of Chesapeake the last Saturday of each month for a free nature/bird walk. The cost of the nature/bird walks is enthusiasm. We take care of the rest. See the store event page for more information.
