Go birding with us!
Join us the first Saturday of every month for a half day bird walk. Mike Stoakes will take you on an educational walk to help you identify birds in our own area!! The walks are free and fun. Meet in the Wild Bird Center parking lot at 8:00am. Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather.UPCOMING BIRD WALKS
August 2: Powell Gardens annual North American Butterfly Count with Alan Branhagen. Meet at the visitor's center at 9:00 a.m. There will be a $3/person count fee, but be sure to mention that you're with Burroughs Audubon, and the normal Powell Gardens entrance fee will be waived. All levels of physical ability may participate, but Allen's group will be walking 3.25-mile Byron Shutz nature trail. If walking the trail, please be sure to bring insect repellant, snacks and plenty of water. Reservations are required, so please contact Alan at 816-697-2600 ext. 241 or by July 30th.
